What is Livewire?
Livewire forms an integral part of the
New Horizon
programme, catering for 15 - 18 years olds from 10am to 1pm for each of the 5 days of the event. Livewire has developed over the years to accommodate 350+ teenagers
coming together to grow in their faith and to challenge how they live their Christian lives.
The programme includes worship, group work, games, discussion, drama, teaching and a whole lot of craic!
So what's this got to do with YOU?
We have a location, we have the young people, but we're missing a vital part - Livewire needs you! We're looking for team members for the Summer 2008 Livewire programme.
We're looking for Christians with a personal faith in Jesus Christ as their Saviour, people who are flexible and willing to challenge others as well as be open to challenge and growth themselves.
The main role of a Livewire leader is to facilitate discussion with groups of 10 - 15 teenagers. The leader is not necessarily there to answer all the young people's questions, but perhaps to question some of the answers they suggest. Training is provided, and the leaders work together to achieve the goals of the event.
Livewire leaders are also required to be involved in co-ordinating games, drama, worship, and generally mucking in with the young people attending the event.
