AYW have been present at Edenvilla Park since Februrary 2010. Each Monday and Friday a group of up to ten volunteers come and take part in a variety of activities which benefit the local biodiversity and the health and well-being of participants. At Edenvilla, the Council have given charge of 1/3 of an acre to develop it into a wildlife garden.

Alliance Youth Works' ethos is in its very name - we work in alliance with many government, non-government, charitable and private organisations. In Edenvilla, AYW have partnered with Craigavon Borough Council at Edenvilla Park, and The Southern Health and Social Care Trust who place the volunteers and provide a member of their Daytime Opportunities Staff.

This is an Alliance that works well, and is mirrored within Newry & Mourne, and Armagh District Council venues. There is also, in its infancy, an after schools project hosted by AYW and Craigavon Council which aims to develop a wildlife trail, with accompanying leaflet explaining local biodiversity and its importance. This will lead to a greater public presence in those areas of the park where there is a lot of littering, and therefore we hope a reduction in anti-social behavior.
