Winter 2011/12

> The group have cleaned all the paths in the walled garden

> Have removed all of the old, unwanted plants from the side beds

> Have cleaned out the goldfish pond

> The boys worked hard to open five out of twenty four 20-foot beds

> As winter approached the group collected tree seeds and processed them ready for planting

> The group have also been working towards their OCN certificate in conservation skills and have been learning a variety of invertebrates, mammals, birds and amphibians, and are very accomplished at classifying these species.

> Last week the group started to clear a large patch of Japanese Knot Weed - a veracious invasive species not welcome in our garden or our site
