Alliances
There's a childrens hymn we used to sing when we were younger- and in it there is a line about letting our light shine- "you in your small corner and I in mine". Well in AYW we take the opposite approach- we believe that joining together, standing together with trust and mutual appreciation, bringing all those little lights together makes this world a whole lot brighter.

We work in alliance and in partnership with businesses, NGOs, Environmental Organisations, Government departments, Education Authorities, community organisations, Churches, and individuals in order that together we make more of a difference in the world in which we live.

We take a good long look at the various providers and support agencies out there and choose the best to work with so that the children, young people and leaders we serve get the best provision possible.
An Alliance Definition:
An Alliance is a mutually beneficial, long-term relationship (not bound by the time limits of a project). Services within this relationship should be paid for according to an agreement set between ourselves and the other organisation or service provider/ body, if it is required. AYW Strategic Plan June 2005
Blue Lough Logo Blue Lough This is one of our longest lasting and strongest Alliances. The Highpoint group and in particularly Blue Lough are a high quality, safe, and fun organisation who always go the extra mile and exceed expectations everytime we use them. They are a little more expensive than most - but then you get what you pay for. Want the best? We do! AYW use Blue Lough outdoor pursuits exclusively.
Children's Ministry Logo Children's Ministry Since our first RE:Source conference in the Lodge Hotel in 2000 Childrens Ministry have been a strong ally of Alliance Youth Works. This is the childrens brand of the Kingsway publishing company and they produce excellent childrens teaching materials for churches all across the world. We attend their conference every year and would recommend your childrens leadership team get to Eastbourne and be inspired.
Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Logo Chartered Institute of Environmental Health From the moment we opened our doors in 1997 we were very aware that anyone working with children and young people and providing food for them will need to have the most up to date policies, procedures and training available. Alice continues to deliver these courses and CIEH have been there to certificate the hundreds of workers coming through the AYW programmes each year.
New Horizon Logo New Horizon This is an annual Christian teaching event at the Coleraine campus of the University of Ulster in August. AYW have been involved in various guises since we opened. We now sit on the board and run the teenage event (Livewire). New Horizon stirs the heart, and feeds the soul.
Tidy Northern Ireland Logo Tidy Northern Ireland Tidy Northern Ireland run the Eco- Schools and we work closely with them to deliver the programme up and down the country. All five Education and Library Boards are involved as are the majority of the 26 local councils. If you need general advice on the programme or if you'd like to register click on the link, contact the Eco-Schools Admin Officer on eco-schools@tidynorthernireland.org or phone 0845 26 806 26.
